What actually makes a password strong
A short list of what matters most — not the whole security textbook.
Length beats complexity. A longer password is harder to crack than a shorter one full of symbols.
Never reuse a password. One leaked site shouldn't put your other accounts at risk.
Skip the personal details. Names, birthdays, and pet names are the first things guessed.
Use a password manager. You only need to remember one strong password: the one that unlocks the rest.
Turn on two-factor authentication. It stops most account takeovers even if a password leaks.
Rotate after a breach, not on a schedule. Forced monthly changes mostly just lead to weaker passwords.
